Spring into schedule

Published in Long Beach City College's Viking newspaper in 2005

Schedules of classes for the Spring semester will be sold starting Wednesday, Nov. 16 and with them comes a flurry of information regarding registration for new and continuing students, classes, counseling and financial aid.
Spring registration will begin Nov. 17 with the schedules available in the PCC and LAC bookstores and 7-11 stores for $1. Students interested in getting an advanced peek may check www.lbcc.edu. Most spring classes begin Tuesday, Jan. 17.
"Disabled student program and services and EOP&S students have priority with registering per our state code Title V," Dean of Admissions and Records Ross Miyashiro said. "All other student priority is determined by units completed."
Walk-in registration, beginning Jan. 9, will be in the LAC's College Center in Building E and PCC's Student Center in Building EE.
"I learned not to wait until the last minute to register," student Lilia Ramos said. "The sooner you get it done the better."
Registration fees for California residents will be $26 per unit and non-resident students, as of last semester, must pay a fee of $151 a unit plus an enrollment fee of $26 per unit. Residency is determined through proof of living two years or more in California. Parking permits will be sold for $25.
Students may log on to www.lbcc.edu for more information regarding Spring registration. Questions may also be answered by calling 938-4700.
