Oklahoma Day Six

The last day was simply a day of traveling back home, but the beginning of the day is where I learned the severity of my dad's steering problem in the van.

On the way back to Chactaw we dealt with high winds and the possibility of icy situations.

The van was all over the road. We were getting blown into the next lane on our left and on to the shoulder on our right. It was definitely a white knuckle experience.

We made it back to my grandfather's house in one piece though.

We talked a bit then headed for the airport. My grandpa drove.

We made it through security easily, although Jeremy was pulled into another room for an intimate pat down. Due to fog, our plane ended up leaving two hours late, so we missed our connecting flight in Dallas. We finally boarded a plane around 8:45 p.m.

Jeremy's sister picked us up at John Wayne and she thoughtfully greeted us with a beer each. Thank you Donger.

I finally arrived home around midnight.

What a trip.
