A dry breeze was bullying the water of Alamitos Bay
when I stepped foot on to the cold sand.
High tide must have hit hard last night considering the old faded
water line cuddled against the wall of Bay Shore Avenue.
The city workers were slowly retrieving the metal Christmas trees
from the water and prepping them for storage until late November.
The birds were chattering and people were bustling when John Equitz rolled up
in his white Astro Van around 11 a.m.
